Georgia man accused of insurance fraud

|

An individual's reputation is often based on their personal decisions and professional life. When a person is suspected of committing a crime in their workplace, this accusation could harm both their personal and professional reputation. When an employee or an employer are facing fraud charges, this carries not only serious penalties, but could also damage their future once the matter is settled or their time has been served if they are convicted.

Authorities in Franklin County recently arrested and charged a 34-year-old man from Danielsville for insurance fraud. The man allegedly defrauded his insurance clients and is now facing 15 counts of insurance fraud and two counts of forgery.

According to reports, the defendant was investigated by the Georgia Department of Insurance, which claims that he took premium payments for policyholders and converted them into money for his personal use. Following an eight-month investigation, the man was arrested.

When facing fraud charges, a defendant should establish a strong defense strategy by beginning their own investigation. This could result in affirmative defenses as well as ways to suppress evidence being used against them. This could help the defendant reduce or drop some or all of the charges against them.

Any defendant facing criminal charges should understand that they are entitled to a strong defense. Those unsure of their options should seek guidance and assistance in order to establish a strategy against the charges. This could reduce the penalties they face and lessen the impact the charges have on their personal and professional reputation.
